Bar: San Martín (40%)
Maker: Maraná Chocolate (Lima, Peru)
Price: $6.50/70g (La Esquina Verde)
Overall Rating: 4/10
Munch Factor: 7/10
Ingredients: Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk, Skim Milk, Almonds and Soy Lecithin
Appearance: 15-block pre-broken mold with light brown color and smooth facade.
Smell: Sweet & nutty with notes of floral honey that remind me of middle eastern sweets.
The Melt & Snap: good melt & nice snap.
Taste: Mouthfeel is a bit off, but the nuttiness comes in first but not fast, quickly turning sweet and never quite reaching any cocoa notes as I have come to know them.
Complaints & Complements: Mouthfeel leave something to be desired, but in all it’s very sweet and nutty, a dessert that I think kids would love, but which fails to impress me in any meaningful way. Their branding is nice, however.
