Bar: Tangara 70%
Maker: Pacari (Quito, Ecuador)
Price: $10/50g (Bright River Chocolate)
Overall Rating: 7/10
Munch Factor: 7/10
Ingredients: Cacao Beans, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Sunflower Lecithin
Appearance: Plain 18-block pre-broken mold; beautiful light brown color.
Smell: Sweet cocoa nuttiness with light red fruits; reminiscent of some of his other bars, actually.
The Melt & Snap: beautiful melt & okay snap.
Taste: Bright acidity in a creamy melt gives way to wood and some bitterness with a slightly astringent finish.
Complaints & Complements: The outer packaging is beautiful, with a blue Inca glyph, but I don’t think the bar is worth nearly that much money. It’s good but not mind blowing, though that melt is mind blowing by itself. I just kept eating it for the mouthfeel!
