Bar: Trinidad-Ecuador (75%)
Maker: Palette De Bine (Canada)
Price: $9/70g (Direct From Maker)
Overall Rating: 8/10
Munch Factor: 2.5/10
Ingredients: Cocoa beans, Sugar
Appearance: Same cool unique mold, and a plain dark brown color.
Smell: Strong cocoa with some red fruit undertones and (appropriately) woody undertones. Very pleasant.
The Melt & Snap: Resoundingly hard snap & equally hard melt.
Taste: Apricot, and then some bitterness, and finally sweetness. Tanniny finish, and thoughts of cocoa throughout the tasting, up until the long finish.
Complaints & Complements: Still love the envelope style, and I even re-used the packaging as a bill-holder when I needed to bring some money to a friend! Hated the tannins on the finish, but the complexity is very satisfying. Would pair perfectly with a glass of whole milk!
