Bar: Loma Los Pinos 62%
Maker: Zotter (Riegersburg, Austria)
Price: $7.95/70g (Bright River Chocolate, Online US Retailer)
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
Munch Factor: 7.5/10
Ingredients: Organic Cocoa Mass, Organic Raw Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Butter, Salt
Appearance: Two dark but creamy-looking 35-gram bars, both embossed with the traditional Zotter logo and mold of their Labooko bars.
Smell: Really earthy cocoa, bitterness, and wine grapes come in heavy at first whiff.
The Melt & Snap: Decent melt & very strong snap.
Taste: Sweet cocoa with a creamy savouryness and a fudgey overtone. Rather one-dimensional.
Complaints & Complements: As always, the Zotter packaging is well-branded and intricate, and I like it a lot. As for the bar itself, I wish it had a bit more of the heavy wine fruits come out flavor wise; otherwise, it’s a fine bar.
