*French Broad Costa Rica 80%

Sharing is caring!

Bar: Costa Rica 80%
Maker: French Broad Chocolate (Asheville, North Carolina, USA)
Price: $9/60g (Direct From Maker)
Overall Rating:
 7/10
Munch Factor:
 4/10
Ingredients:
 Cacao & Cane Sugar

Appearance: Pre-broken 20-block mold, branded with the maker’s name; beautifully smooth dark brown.
Aroma: Smoky wood with very dark cocoa overtones.
Melt & Snap: okay melt & beautiful snap.
Flavor: Smoky, then sweet and unidentifiably umami, but very smooth; no bitterness and a short fudgey finish.
Complaints & Complements: One of the more intriguing bars I’ve had in a while, but it finishes very fast. The flavor is memorable, but it’s just too fleeting and maybe a bit strange for some people.
