Ingredients: Organic Cacao Beans, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Sugar.
Appearance: Very dark brown in color; 24-block pre-broken mold with the brand’s name emblazoned on each rectangle.
Aroma: Dried red fruits and earthy sweetness; not much hint of cacao.
Melt & Snap: fine melt & great snap.
Flavor: Sweet caramel & then dark fudge, and woody with red fruit-induced acidity near the end; short, semi-sweet finish.
Complaints & Complements: the bar was outwardly affected by melting in transit, but when broken in half it looked fine. Overall very enjoyable, though, and it was a hit with all my new friends in Cuba. I would definitely buy it again, along with a few other bars I’ve had. I wonder if it’s the good mood that traveling puts me in?
