Bar: Wild Bolivia 74%
Maker: Fruition Chocolate (New York, USA)
Price: $14.50/60g (The Chocolate House in DC)
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
Munch Factor: 8/10
Ingredients: Cacao Beans and Cane Sugar.
Appearance: rather dark brown, as expected in such a percentage; beautiful stylized “F” in the center of the mold, with the rest of the bar dotted with cacao pods.
Aroma: sweet dark brown sugar with woody and fruity undertones.
Melt & Snap: okay melt & good snap.
Flavor: dark bitterness melting into obscure fruit which sweetens as the bar opens up. Short finish with no bitterness, and a floral touch as you eat more of the bar.
Complaints & Complements: this is a lovely and smooth bar. It actually reminds me a lot of the Ecuadorean bars and beans I was surrounded by last summer.
Context: sitting in my apartment in South Korea! It’s comfortably heated. 🙂
