Ingredients: White Chocolate (Cocoa, Sugar, Milk Powder, Soy Lecithin, Natural Vanilla), Pingtung Organic Roses, Smoked Lychee, Cocoa Nibs.
Appearance: striking deep purple color with minuscule dark purple flecks of color. The mold is rectangular with Mayan runes printed down the left side & rectangular prints etched along the right side.
Aroma: very strong rose and sweet fruitiness, like from fruit cooking on a stove top to make jam.
Melt & Snap: very easy melt & weak sharp snap.
Flavor: sweet rose; lychee comes out when you give it a good chew and the strong rose coats your mouth. Every time you get a nib there is a pleasant undertone of cocoa to match the intense sweetness of white chocolate. Finish is moderate and floral.
Complaints & Complements: normally I’m not big on so many inclusions in one bar, but these have married nicely. And I’m a sucker for white chocolate with nibs, like Askinosie’s. The choices of inclusions in this particular bar actually remind me of a Zotter milk chocolate I had a few years ago. It’s not often you find flowers in craft chocolate! I’m a huge fan of this bar and maker.
