Bar: Chuno 78% (Nicaragua)
Maker: Millcreek Chocolate (Salt Lake City, UT, USA)
Price: $6.99/50g (Caputo’s online shop)
Munch Factor: 2/10
Ingredients: Cacao, Pure Cane Sugar, Cocoa Butter
Appearance: nice-looking black packaging with a blue slip designating origin and other demographics. The bar itself is wrapped in foil and has a medium brown color; the square mold had their logo and name protruding from itself.
Aroma: earthy cocoa.
Melt & Snap: okay melt & okay snap.
Flavor: immediate tannins, lasting throughout the bar; light red fruits, bitterness, and finally some earthiness over a short finish.
Complaints & Complements: this is made with certified heirloom-designated cacao. The flavor beyond the tannin is nice, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
Context: sitting in room just after dinner.
