Bar: El Oro 67%
Maker: República Del Cacao (Quito, Ecuador)
Price: $6/100g (Quito Tourist Center)
Overall Rating:
8/10
Munch Factor:
3/10
Ingredients:
Cacao Liquor, Sugar, Cacao Butter, Soy Lecithin (E322)

Appearance: 8-block pre-broken mold, printed with the brand’s name; unremarkable dark brown color.
Aroma: Sweet and floral with woody cocoa undertones.
Melt & Snap: nice melt & good snap.
Flavor: Cocoa sweetness hits first, then some complex florality which melts into a pleasant fudge. Finish is short and fudgey.
Complaints & Complements: I really like this bar. It has only pleasant flavor notes and not a hint of bitterness, not to mention enough complexity that you don’t inhale the entire bar all at once. I’d buy this again, for myself or as a gift; the packaging is nice inside as well.
