Bar: Joswee 75% (Ecuador)
Maker: Cocosun (Pingtung County, Taiwan)
Price: NT$180/25g (~$6USD) (Direct From Maker)
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
Munch Factor: 7/10
Ingredients: Cacao Beans, Cane Sugar, Cacao Butter.

Appearance: very dark brown in a sectioned mold adorned with drawings of cacao pods and leaves. Quite thin and small for the large box.
Aroma: smoky with grassy coffee and notes of tobacco.
Melt & Snap: smooth moderate melt & strong snap.
Flavor: the smoky notes come out first, but are sweetened by a soft cocoa flavor that lengthens into a creamy finish. The coffee doesn’t really translate well into the actualy flavor of the bar.
Complaints & Complements: even though the aroma and flavor don’t really match, this is an interesting and sharply-flavored bar. It’s pretty pricey for the size, but I’d buy it again for the novelty factorof a Taiwanese chocolate maker, plus the bright color scheme of the packaging.
Context: sitting in my classroom in Korea, after I finished teaching for the day.
