Bar: Madagascar (66%)
Maker: OmNom (Reykjavik, Iceland)
Price: $GIFT (Chocolátl, The Netherlands)
Overall Rating: 6.5/10
Munch Factor: 8.5/10
Ingredients: Organic cacao beans from Madagascar, raw cane sugar & cacao butter
Appearance: Plain pre-broken mold, and reddish hue. Otherwise unremarkable.
Aroma: Earthy with sweet fruitiness. Almost a little mossy, or burnt (though not over-roasted).
Melt & Snap: Difficult melt, but a nice snap.
Flavor: Sweetness with a bit of that earthiness, but very pleasantly so. Almost tastes like a milk chocolate. Rather… creamy aftertaste; very little evolution of flavor.
Complaints & Complements: Love, love, love the packaging. Envelope-style, with a colorful wolf to seal it. It is appealing in all regards. Even the inside has wolves! Great packaging and consistent branding. On the sweet side for dark chocolate, which contributes to the desire to munch on it.
